After receiving his BFA in cinema from University of Art in Tehran, Farshbaf has worked as a filmmaker, writer, editor and cinematographer. His short films include Halloween (2004), The Carpet (2005), Taxi (2006), Flakey (2007), The Wind Blows Wherever it Wants (2008). Mourning is his first film.
