Synopsis
How did a group of isolated farmers, clueless about politics, manage to win a fight against the French government's decision to extend a military camp over their land? Deep in the French countryside, in the Larzac region, 103 families made an oath to unite and defend their land. As a result, the Larzac became the birthplace of the anti-globalism movement in France. Yet they did not use weapons to defend themselves, only tractors and sheep. This documentary focuses on the inhabitants' 10-year-long struggle for justice and freedom.

Christian Rouaud
Christian Rouaud first taught literature, and later was involved in audiovisual education. During that time, he made films for the educational system and took part in several social and cultural projects. He created the association “Audiovisuel Pour Tous dans l'Education” (APTE), He also wrote a novel, “La saldéprof” (Editions Syros, 1983). His first film is Les Lip, l'imagination au pouvoir (2006).
