Yuya Ishii
Born 1983. Graduated from Osaka University of Arts. Received MA from the Department of the Image Arts at the Graduate School of Nihon University of Art. Bare-Assed Japan (2005) won the Grand Prix at the 2007 Pia Film Festival. Three films later, he received the Edward Yang New Talent Award at the 2nd Asian Film Awards. Sawako Decides, the 19th PFF Scholarship Film, has been screened at over twenty film festivals.
