The year is 1907. Living in dire poverty at a back-alley slum in Osaka's Tennoji, the eccentric Sankichi Sakata forgets his work and family when he plays Shogi. His wife Koharu is the pillar of their household, but... Kagawa plays Sakata’s daughter.
