Graduate of Musashino Art University and Tokyo University of the Arts. His previous work Good Morning to the World!! won special jury prizes at the Kyoto International Student Film and Video Festival and the Pia Film Festival, as well as the Vancouver International Film Festival's Dragon & Tiger Award in 2010. It has also been screened at many other film festivals, including the 2011 Berlinale.
