Introduction

An adaptation of Junichiro Tanizaki’s early Showa period novel, depicting two women vying for the cat-loving Shozo and his dear pet Lily at a merchant’s house in Ashiya. Kagawa breaks from her dignified image to play a wild girl in the postwar era.
