Synopsis
Jafaar, a Palestinian fisherman, is astonished when he finds a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig tangled up in his net. He has to get rid of the impure animal fast, before the authorities find out, but he can't resist the opportunity to make some quick money. When a local UN official refuses to buy the pig, Jafaar finds a way to exploit his new friend's reproductive abilities in the most unexpected of places…

Sylvain Estibal
Sylvain Estibal is a director of photography for AFP (French News Agency) covering Latin America. He is a journalist, photographer and writer, who has published several works on the desert, novels, and a biography of Theodore Monod. After writing a play and directing two short-length films (Fragments du Paradis, and Jour de Campagne), he wrote and directed When Pigs Have Wings, his first feature film.
