World Premiere screening of FUKUSHIMA HULA GIRLS was held on Oct. 23 (Sun) at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, Screen 6. Director Masaki Kobayashi and the Spa Resort Hawaiian Dancing Team members appeared on the stage for greeting.
The film director of , FUKUSHIMA HULA GIRLS which has just been completed on Oct. 1, 2011, mentioned that the film was finally completed as his commitment to tell the world about the efforts of Hula girls aiding the recovery of earth quake stricken prefecture.
Director Kobayashi greeted first by mentioning that “Unfortunately the name of Fukushima has echoed throughout the world. I wanted the people to know that there are some people who are trying hard like the Hula Girls here. If you felt something in your heart while watching this film, please visit the Spa Resort Hawaiians.
Yukari Maluhia, the team leader, representing the Spa Resort Hawaiian Dancing Team greeted next. “The film depicts about the people of Fukushima prefecture and the disaster truthfully. It also shows the things that we felt when we participated in the National Kizuna Campaign and the feelings of the people of Fukushima prefecture as well. I think that what is depicted in this film is truly important and wanted the audience to understand our feelings and make use of our experience as a strength to live the everyday life.
Following their greetings, a dance by the Spa Resort Hawaiian Dancing Team was performed as a special present to the audience.
